Symmetry harmonic oscillator generator

Posted: 09 May 2013 10:36 PM PDT

This circuit is simple harmonic oscillator generator that easy because use three transistors as main components that In this modern era, look old-fashioned, but if you have a device in hand, should be created be used. Highlights of this circuit, not in use of the third harmonic of the crystal or is a symmetric. But the tuning because the frequency generator circuits, a commonly used tuning circuit is not a fundamental frequency generator circuits only. If you want to use a harmonic tuning circuit, to selectively took the desired harmonic out. This circuit is an stable multi vibrator Which use how to connected the crystal that Strange are connects between the emitter pin of both transistors and connected in series with a little trimmer (C5 = 40 picofarads(pF)) That trimmer is used to adjust the fundamental frequency. To become the third harmonic frequency. This circuit is designed for use with [...]

3D Print Your Robot Hand

Liam's Robohand

Liam’s Robohand

Richard Van As, a master carpenter from Johannesburg, South Africa, decided to make a set of mechanical fingers. He'd lost four of the fingers on his right hand in an unfortunate work accident. As a tradesman, having a disabled hand is a big professional detriment, so he decided that he would use the tools available to him to remedy his situation. As the project evolved, it became Robohand, an open-source initiative to help those lacking our most precious tools as humans, our hands. One of the most prominent tools he uses, and that made it possible to create these prostheses in an affordable way is a MakerBot Replicator 2.

See the inspiring and touching video below and don’t be afraid to shed a tear or two, we certainly did.

Tacos + Quadcopters + Grant Imahara = Amazing!

Posted: 07 May 2013 10:40 AM PDT

While we were at RoboGames 2013, Don Miller from Mad Lab Industries came and asked us to help him with a special project – to deliver up some hot tacos using a modified version of their Grasshoper Hexacopter. A short time later we had successfully delivered taco after taco, just like the mythical Taco Copter. But how do you top delivering tacos with a quadcopter? Why, you deliver them to Grant Imahara himself.

Check out the video below to see the taco drop in all its robot-y goodness.
