Are you under the impression that your Neato robot vacuum could do better? Not enough run-time, cutting corners and acting as if it was lazy. Well updating your Neato’s software can change that. The latest version is at 3.4 and includes better battery management and a “Clever Corner” feature which works great on both inside and outside corners.
This Guide will show you step by step how to update your Neato’s software. First you will need a USB 2.0 to Mini-B cable which is not included with the Neato. Click here to buy the cable if you don’t own one. Make sure your Neato is fully charged with a solid green light indicator and note that it should not be plugged into an electrical outlet or on the charging base during the update process.
To make it easier to follow we have included red arrows in the pictures, simply follow the arrows. Lets begin the update process; go on the Neato Robotic web site here.
1. Go to the support page.

3. Chose your Neato model.

4. Create an account or log in if you already have an account.

5. Add a robot, enter all the information required to proceed to next step.

6. Once you have added a robot it should automatically bring you to the “My Neato” page. From there click on software updates on the selected robot.

7. Select the current software installed in your Neato. To verify which software you have installed go on the Neato’s menu. Menu > Support > Show Revisions, it is the number next to SW.

8. Read the information before clicking Get Started.

9. Follow the steps, download the updater tool then install it once this is done click on Continue to Step 2.

10. You are now ready for the last step of this process. Make sure you have read all the steps before clicking Start Update.
