HR-OS1 On CNBC

The HR-OS1 AX-12A Humanoid Endoskeleton is almost here! Last night on CNBC’s ‘Fast Money’ Brian David Johnson announced that Trossen Robotics will be offering pre-orders for 50 limited edition HR-OS1 Humanoid Exoskeletons on Septmeber 20th at at 10:00am EST.

Each HR-OS1 is powered by the Intel Edison, a full linux computer about the size of an SD card! The Intel Edison has a dual core 500MHz CPU, 1GB of ram, 4GB of on board storage, and integrated WiFi and Bluetooth!

This new robot is designed to be customized, whether you want to use a pre-designed 3D shell like Jimmy shown in the video, or design and print your own custom 3D shell.

The first batch of HR-OS1 units are expected to ship in January 2015. The kit will come with everything you need to build a functional endoskeleton. The kit does not come with 3D printed shells.
